old time exi...

<Existence> is the result of a merger between the guilds <Exile> and <Exit> following on from a successful raiding partnership. Both guilds had a similar outlook regarding the game and this can be summarised by the next two paragraphs.

We realise that all guild members have lives in the real world, and that ultimately RL is far more important than a computer game. When raiding we need to aim to be taking things seriously enough to help us to progress at a reasonable pace, but at the same time not taking ourselves too seriously... After all, WoW is a game, it isn't a job... and you play games to have fun.

A sociable side to a guild is important as well of course. There may be members who aren't too bothered about raiding, or aren't able to raid that often, but enjoy being in the company of the rest of their fellow guildies. They will need to feel as much a part of the guild as the raiders.

In order to maintain our way of life we have set some rules where we expect everybody to adhere to.

1. Have Fun!

2. Be considerate and respectful in guild chat and on TS - yelling, racist, foul language, offensive remarks & jokes, griefing etc will not be tolerated. Respect each other and treat your fellow guildies as you would expect them to treat you!.

3. Don't demand boosts, loans, handouts etc. Your fellow guildies may be willing to help you if you ask nicely, but demands are unlikely to get you anywhere.

4. Keep the communication channels free from drama. if you’re unhappy about something talk to an officer or the GM.

5. Don't hassle the GM and officers. We will be happy to help when we can, however please don’t forget that we may be busy with other things and pestering us won't get anything done any faster.

6. Its is not allowed to members of Existence to beg or spam in general / trade etc. This behaviour reflects badly on the guild.

7. You are not allowed to take things from the guild bank to sell. Items in the vault have been donated for use by members of the guild, not to allow you to make money from them.

8. Raiding.
- Please do not join PUG raids to progression instances as this reduces the number of people available for guild runs. However if you are not able to join a guild raid in a raid lockout period you may be allowed to join a PUG if you talk to an officer about it first.
- If you want to change your main spec or character please discuss it with an officer beforehand so we can adjust for any gaps that may form in our raiding team as a result.
- Listen to the raid leader and follow his orders. if your really unhappy about decisions please don't argue in the raid, discuss it after the raid.
- Don't moan and bitch in Raid chat or TS. The Raid leaders decision is final.
- Be considerate and prepared. Don't keep people waiting unnecessarily.

9. Guild chat should not be a place for trade chat, if you want to make money then please use the other means provided to you by Blizzard.

10. Keep your forum profile up-to-date. It is the responsibility of the player to keep his/her profile up-to-date. This includes email address and in-guild characters and alts.

11. Gnomes should be shot at sight!

We couldn't possibly do that.... Who'd clean up the mess?
